Our learning

 This term we are learning about patterns. The children in Room 6 loves making their own patterns.

This week we had our New Zealand Nationwide Shake Out. The children new exactly what do do in the event of an earthquake. Hide under their tables in the turtle position and wait until the teacher says it is safe to come out.

 Well done to Cecillia for receiving the first Duffy certificate for Term 4. Keep up the good work!

I am so proud of all the tamariki in Room 6 for participating in our athletics day. They were fantastic!

What an eventful term 3!

 Netherby School was really fortunate to have a visit from Pooh and friends. How exciting!

In week 10 we were very lucky to have a visit from our favourite giraffe Harold. Thank you so much to Amy and Life Education.

Proud Moments in Room 6

 Ka pai to all our children that received Duffy awards this term. I love that our children receive a book with their Duffy certificates, what a great way to nurture a love for reading.

Poetry Stars!

 This term we had our yearly speech and poetry competition. I am very proud of everyone in Room 6, that worked very hard to learn their poems and had the courage to present their chosen poem in front of the class. Ka pai!

Well done to Allicia and Jack that made it through to the finals.
